Gamers Needed for a Study!

Researchers within the Human Clinical Research Facility (HCRF) at Texas A&M University are recruiting approximately 70 healthy male and female gamers between 18 and 40 years of age with a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 34.9. A history of playing video games for 5 or more hours per week for 6 months prior to screening is required. Eligible participants need to be willing to supply their own operator-oriented action or strategy video game that they have played 21 times over the last 3 months (if they don’t play the ones we have available) and the gaming platform with all accessories needed to play the chosen game. This study will determine whether dietary supplementation of PhaeoSOL combined with organic guarana extract improves cognitive function and gaming performance of video gamers. Three total visits over approximately five weeks will be required. The first visit requires approximately one hour. The second and third visits require approximately two hours each. Eligible participants will receive $250 after completing the entire study and after all study related documents (i.e., food logs, side-effects assessments, etc.) are returned.
